MyMellah is a mobile application that enables users in the Kingdom of Morocco and around the world to experience the historic mellahs (former Jewish Quarters) of Essaouira, Fez, and Rabat. Virtually tour the synagogues, hammams, mikvot, bakeries, butcher shops, schools, shrines, and other sites that once composed Judeo-Moroccan city life. If you are in Morocco, QR Codes posted on sites provide users with additional information. If you are abroad, you can virtually visit these sites and immerse yourself in 360-panoramas. MyMellah was created as part of the Rebuilding Our Homes project, a multi-year NPI initiative of the Mimouna Association and American Sephardi Federation supported by USAID. ROH, with the support of the Diarna Geo-Museum of North African & Middle Eastern Jewish Life, trained Moroccan Muslim youth living in the mellahs today to digitally document sites and record oral history interviews with the last primary source generation.
MyMellah هو تطبيق للهاتف المحمول يمكّن المستخدمين في المملكة المغربية وحول العالم من تجربة الملاح التاريخية (الأحياء اليهودية السابقة) في الصويرة وفاس والرباط. تجول فعليًا في المعابد اليهودية والحمامات والميكفوت والمخابز ومحلات الجزارة والمدارس والأضرحة والمواقع الأخرى التي كانت ذات يوم تشكل حياة المدينة اليهودية المغربية. إذا كنت في المغرب، فإن رموز QR المنشورة على المواقع تزود المستخدمين بمعلومات إضافية. إذا كنت في الخارج، يمكنك فعليًا زيارة هذه المواقع والانغماس في صور بانورامية بزاوية 360 درجة. تم إنشاء MyMellah كجزء من مشروع إعادة بناء منازلنا، وهي مبادرة NPI متعددة السنوات لجمعية Mimouna واتحاد السفاردي الأمريكي بدعم من الوكالة الأمريكية للتنمية الدولية. قامت ROH، بدعم من متحف Diarna الجغرافي للحياة اليهودية في شمال إفريقيا والشرق الأوسط، بتدريب الشباب المغربي المسلم الذين يعيشون في الملاح اليوم على توثيق المواقع رقميًا وتسجيل مقابلات التاريخ الشفوي مع آخر جيل من المصادر الأولي.
